A day out with Thomas
We went to the Tennessee Valley Railroad up in Chattanooga this Saturday for a little birthday fun for Bryceman. He loved it. I got our tickets way back in January and I could barely wait to be able to see his face when we got there. We timed it just right so that we would be able to board our train upon arrival. They take you on a thirty minute ride on Thomas and then the rest of the day you can look around at all of the old trains. This place is an organization that is trying to keep steam and desil engines up and running. Boy, it was hot so we did not stay too long plus we had a birthday party to plan for too. So here is a few from the day.

Publix is my favorite store!
I used to hate to go into Publix. We never could get our groceries in there for less than $100. Then I bumped into the coupon game and I am addicted! I love it. I can now shop cheaper there than WalMart and I abhor that place so WOO HOO! What I have learned is I can have a $50 to $60 grocery budget and make it. Instead of going to the store multiple times to pick up stuff, I go once a week and I spend a couple of hours figuring out what is on sale and then finding the coupons to go with them. However, this is made really easy for some of us because there are so many mommy bloggers who put together the lists for us. My favorite is Fiddledeedee. See the trick is that Publix has BOGO deals everyweek. You can use two coupons that way and get things very cheap and I am not talking about the store brand either. Anyway, if you need a way to save some money check her out and there are many more.
Here are my savings for the week!
Total Before Coupons and Savings: $133.51
Total Out of My Pocket: $60.03
TOTAL SAVINGS!!! ~ $73.48 OR 55%

Two Years Old
I cannot believe I have a two year old. Wasn't I just pregnant? Bryce is growing so quickly that I just can't keep up. We had a great weekend celebrating his birthday(more pictures later).
Bryce,
I could never explain how great you are. You are such a blessing to me and your daddy and we fall more in love with you everyday. You are so independent, yet still a mommy's boy. You love and I do mean LOVE tractors and trains. This last month you began to hold your arms out as far as they go to give us hugs and have started to make the kissy noise when you give kisses. You love mommy to read to you and your favorites are No, David!, Thomas and Gordon Race, and Go Dog Go.(who doesn't love that book?) Just this week you learned to count to four! What a big boy. You have also learned most of your colors and some of your shapes. Potty training does not interest you yet, however, you love to run without a diaper. You are such a sweet boy who is so inquisitive and enthralled by everything. Most days are now spent answering "what's dat mama"? Your favorite thing to do is to play in our backyard. You jump(gump) on the trampoline, slide, ride your tractor, and water the flowers. You love the water and will for sure be a water baby once it is warm enough to swim. Well you are now no longer a baby(technically) and are an official big boy. We love you and can't wait to see what is to come!

Bryce Has a Date This Saturday...
A date with Thomas the Tank Engine. Thomas is one of Bryce's favorite things and months ago I found out that he would be in Chattanooga. I love it there and it is gorgeous. This will be the perfect weekend because the weather is supposed to be great. Sunday my baby is turning two and we are having a little get together and going to celebrate with a slip and slide party. We can't wait. Hope your weekend is wonderful!
P.S. Please keep Stellan in your prayers and also Kayleigh. Count your blessings.

Please say a little prayer for Stellan today.
I tried last night to explain to my husband how bloggers consider the blogs we read as people we know. I have been keeping up with MckMama for some time now and feel as if I know her family. Poor Stellan is an awesome fighter and he went in for surgery this morning and it is taking longer than expected. (going on 3 hours longer) It has me worried and I feel as if we need to ask God to help him and the doctors. I have a very soft heart and it is even softer for cute little momma's boys.

Getting the garden ready
We are going to try to have a vegetable garden this year. We went to Lowe's while Steven was dancing the night away to load up on seeds and supplies. I unfortunately found some really pretty perineals also. We created a garden outside of our bedroom windows. We put down a blueberry bush, strawberry bush, rosemarry, and a rose bush. We have four others but I cannnot remember the names right now. We are planting corn, tomatoes, black beans, cucumbers, and jalapenos. We are going to hopefully get them in the ground next weekend. I can't wait for some fresh tomatoes!
Spring Dance
Friday night was Steven's spring dance. He is still going to hang out with all of his friends no dates just yet. Here he is ready to go. Looking good! (and grown up)

What a Fabulous Weekend
We started our weekend in the driveway waiting patiently on Grandma to come and pick us up. We were heading to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens for their Easter Egg Hunt. It was so much fun but it was so cold. We had no idea that the weather was going to be that chilly so our family was not dressed for success. Bryce did really well at the event. He waited on the Easter Bunny and sat in his lap. He could not stand it waiting for the hunt to begin and as soon as they said go, he grabbed about 3 eggs found out there was candy inside and said "i done." He then saw a little boy with no basket and picked up an egg and gave it to him. So sweet! We didn't do too much else on Saturday. Mommy has been waking up everyday at 4am lately so she stays pretty poooped by the end of the day.
Steven didn't get home in time to dye eggs before Bryce went to bed on Saturday so we got up early on Sunday to dye eggs. Steven measured out everything and made sure the tablets were dissolving. Bryce did very good and didn't get too colored. Blake and I made a breakfast casserole for breakfast and we had a very nice family easter breakfast before starting to get ready for church. Steven lit the candles in service this weekend and Granny visited our church, too! It was such a great day to have so much family together in church. Bryce sits in service, just like a big boy. He is not the most quiet little man but he is not a distraction. The only time he was loud was when he bumped his little head on the pew. Steven said he could hear him all the way up front. Oh well...I like him in church and hearing the message and singing along with the hymns. He made mommmy and daddy very proud. It was a great service and I am so happy to know that my Redeemer LIVES!!!
After church we went home to get the food started cooking and let Bryce take his nap. The Easter Bunny left gifts for Bryce, Steven, and Bronson while we were at church and Steven could not wait to tear into his. All the boys received waterguns to play with in the backyard and of course jelly beans. That is Bryce's favorite. Steven also received his favorite candy, Reese's Eggs. My parents and Granny stayed for dinner. Blake cooked and boy was it scrumpous! I had such a great day and really feel blessed.

Steven Rapelling
Steven went rapelling with the scouts a couple of weekends ago and he was dying for me to add these pictures to our blog. This was his first time and he is hooked. They went to the Sipsey area in Bankhead Forrest. Only a couple of boys went so they all were able to go down quite a bit. He learned how to go down safely, how to make a rope into a figure eight, and he learned how to boulea(sp).
